The Trefignath Chambered Tomb, in Anglesey, Wales, has seen several phases of occupation. Three separate burial chambers were built one after another. Excavated between 1977 and 1979, the site reveals its intriguing history. Adjacent to the tomb, an alignment of small standing stones extends northwestwards. These stones align with the winter solstice sunrise. The tomb is located on a small rocky knoll.
