The Marine-Denkmal is a war memorial located in Swakopmund in the Erongo Region of Namibia. It was designed by Albert Moritz Wolff and unveiled on August 1, 1908. The monument commemorates the Marine-Expeditions-Korps der Schutztruppe and its contributions during the suppression of the Herero and Nama uprising in 1904, specifically at Karibibs and Otjimbingwes.
Since January 2, 1969, the monument has been a national monument of Namibia. It stands next to a former administrative building that currently serves as a summer residence.
In 2015, the monument was damaged during several unauthorized actions, including the use of paint bags. While some individuals demanded the return of the monument, the Namibian government has declined this request, and the monument remains in place.
