The Hidden Pair: Viking Age Rune Stones in Sigtuna Church

Two Viking Age rune stone fragments, identified as UF1992;159A and U 381, are concealed within the Gernerska grave chapel at Sigtuna Church. The fragments, crafted from dark-grey rough-grained granite, were uncovered in 1990. Despite efforts to measure their precise dimensions, the fragments, one roughly 35 times 15 centimeters in size, share the same resting place. Their presence together in the Gernerska grave chapel makes it an intriguing locus for two rune stones to be found together.
