Located at Via Garibaldi No. 2 in Genoa, Italy, the Palazzo Pantaleo Spinola, now known as Palazzo Gambaro, earned a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list on July 13, 2006. This palazzo has witnessed a vast array of historical events and served as a residence for distinguished figures. However, what baffles many is the fact that its creator, Pantaleo Spinola, passed away in 1536, years before moving into the palace. The palazzo was initially constructed by Bernardo Spazio and Pietro Orsolino. Adorning the ground floor are biblical scenes painted by Giovanni Carlone in the early 17th century. The upper floor boasts 16th-century frescoes created by the Semino and Calvi brothers. The most noteworthy works, nevertheless, are the fresco cycles by Domenico Piola and Giovanni Battista Carlone, considered among the pinnacle of Genoese Baroque art.
