Ancient hillfort San Chuis atop the confluence of six rivers in Allande, Spain

San Chuis, a preroman archaeological site declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC), is situated in Allande, Spain. Perched atop one of the highest hills, it forms the aplanished crest line that separates the valleys of the Prada and Abaniecha rivers, which flow into the Nisón and the Arganda respectively. In the 1950s, José Lombardía Zardaín discovered the site, and Francisco Jordá Cerdá recognized the hillfort in 1962. Various studies and excavations were conducted by Jordá Cerdá between 1962 and 1986. During the interventions, twenty buildings were uncovered in the interior of the fortified enclosure.
