A key figure in the fascinating history of Tollereds övre kraftverk och tub

Tollereds övre kraftverk och tub, located at J T Bergs väg 14 in Tollered in Lerums commune, Sweden, was constructed between 1908 and 1909. The power plant, harnessing the energy of the Tollereds stream, had a fall of 47 meters. In 1933, it underwent a slight rebuild. Today, the power plant, water tube, and dam installation are listed buildings. The power plant's original purpose was to provide energy to Nääs Fabriker, a local company. After numerous changes in ownership, the power plant closed in 1981 when Nääs Fabrikers production ceased. In 1980, a museum association named Tollereds Öfvre kraftstation was formed, which took over the rent of the power plant from the commune with the aim of preserving its historical value.
