Located in the Petite Île quartier on the left bank of the Saint-Denis River, the Church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrance sits opposite the city centre. The building serves as a Catholic place of worship in the municipality of Saint-Denis.
The church was built from split stone masonry and lime between 1893 and 1897. Designed in the Tuscan Gothic style, the building was listed as a Historic Monument on 29 March 1996, and this listing was renewed on 29 December 2005.
Situated downstream from the La Redoute quartier, the structure remains a significant part of the local heritage. It stands as a permanent fixture of the Réunion landscape, preserved through its official heritage status.
