Villa Foscari, colloquially known as La Malcontenta, stands tall in Mira, near Venice, Italy. Commissioned by Andrea Palladio for two patrician brothers, Nicolò and Luigi (Alvise) Foscari in the mid-1550s, the villa showcases a unique blend of Roman architectural influences and innovative features such as larger, brighter windows that allow for an abundance of natural light, ideal for the interior frescoes created by Battista Franco and Giambattista Zelotti. La Malcontenta is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto, since 1996.
