A bronze monument to Venetian playwright and librettist Carlo Goldoni stands in Campo San Bartolomeo, Venice, Italy. Designed by Italian artist Antonio Dal Zotto, it was erected in 1883 and rests on a marble pedestal designed by the architect Pellegrino Orefice. Goldoni himself was a prolific writer and dramatist, known for his significant contributions to the world of theatre, especially in Venice – a city he called home for much of his life.
