The Hidden Boat Grave of the 14th-century Farmyard - Årby

Årby, located in Rasbokils socken, Uppsala, was first mentioned in records dating back to 1344. The Cruus family of Edeby, the von Post family, and Vattholma Bruk owned the farmyard for significant periods, allowing it to remain under the same ownership for a considerable stretch. Today, the most notable feature of Årby is a boat grave, Årbybåten, with well-preserved wooden artifacts that hint at its hidden ancient roots.
