The mysterious grave marker in Kyrsta

In Kyrsta, a small village in Årentuna socken, Uppsala commune, Sweden, stands Upplands runinskrifter 1019. This memorial stone, crafted from red-gray gneiss granite, is 2 meters high, 1.7 meters wide, and 35 centimeters thick. It has been at its original site since the 17th century. The other names in the inscription are common in the Upplands runinskrifter, but the first name remains a mystery. This stone is a Viking Age stele, one of many runestones found in Uppland, a historic province in eastern Sweden.
