Built as a secure dwelling for one of Siena's wealthy merchant families in the 14th century, Palazzo Salimbeni has since transitioned into a tourist attraction and a vestige of Siena's medieval origins and its significant role in the inception of modern banking. Portraying a striking neo-Gothic facade, it harmoniously marries 14th-century Gothic motifs and 19th-century Neo-Gothic renovations. Adjoining the scene, Palazzo Santucci rises, dating back to the 16th century.
