Built in the 1870s, the architecturally striking Torsåker manor stands proudly within Uppland's Väsby municipality, 30 kilometers north of central Stockholm. Spread across 392 hectares, the ancient estate is a testament to grandeur and history. The main building, with its castle-like exterior, harbors a hidden gem from 1759 - a secret chamber. Originally built for storing grain, this century-old chamber is a protected building, declared as such in 1996. A stone inscription above the main entrance reads: 'Torsåckers Egendomars Underliggande Bönder and Torpares Spanmåls magasin year 1763. FSGB-EJSC'. This important stone, a cornerstone of the culturally significant environment at Torsåker, is a priceless piece of the manor's story.
