The Torre dell'Elefante, or Elephant Tower, is a 700-year-old structure in Cagliari, southern Sardinia, Italy. It is located in the historical quarter of the Castello, guarding the city it has served since its construction in 1307. The tower, named for its elephant-shaped crest, has endured damage from attacks by the English in 1708, the Spanish in 1717, and the French in 1793. Despite this, it has remained a key part of the city's skyline and a source of local legends. It was restored once, in 1906, under the works of engineer Dionigi Scano, to bring it back to its original state.
