St. Mary Church, Helsingborg, Sweden - Organ

St. Mary Church in Helsingborg is one of the oldest buildings in the city, dating back to the 1100s. The current building is a three-nave brick temple in Gothic style, constructed in the 1400s. Notably, during construction, the same sandstone was used as in the Lund cathedral. Today, the Church of St. Mary is an important cultural heritage site in Sweden. The church has undergone several renovations and additions over the centuries, some of which include a new choir built in 1898, a sacristy rebuilt in 1953, and the current organ built in 1959 by Marcussen & Søn, Aabenraa, Denmark.

The organ has 31 stops and is a mechanical organ. St. Mary's Church is located in the center of Helsingborg, not far from the main pedestrian street of Drottninggatan and the Chernan Tower. You can get to the temple either on a rented car, by using a taxi, or by public transport; 2 blocks from the church, there is a bus stop Helsingborg Rådhuset, which is followed by routes Nos. 1-3, 7-8, 10, 22, 84, and 89.
