Kulla Gunnarstorp: A Testament to Resilience and Change

Kulla Gunnarstorp, situated between the villages of Hittarp and Domsten, about 10 kilometers north of Helsingborg, is more than a picturesque monument. It is a story of resilience and change, a tale that spans centuries. Built by Danish nobleman Jørgen Ottesen Brahe in the late 16th century, the estate passed through multiple hands, including Axel Eriksen Rosenkrantz, Count Gustaf Adolf Sparre, and Swedish Foreign Minister Baltzar von Platen, who rebuilt the second castle. The Wachtmeister family owned it until 1978, with Gustav Trolle, the current owner, being the latest inheritor from the line. The estate has historically supported Allerums Church, but Vikens Church has occasionally received patronage. Kulla Gunnarstorps mill is another historical landmark outside Hittarp.
