The Eroded Runic Stone of Näsbjörn: A 10th-century Epic in Södermanland, Sweden

In the heart of Runtuna, Runtuna socken, in Nyköpings kommun, Södermanland, Sweden, stands Södermanlands rune stone 151, fondly known as Näsbjörn’s stone. This 148 cm high, red-grey granite stone marks the site. Upon closer examination, five eroded characters, or kvistrunor, reveal the story of Näsbjörn, son of Spar, and his brother Sven.

Ivar Schnell's analysis indicates that the original location might have been approximately 50 meters south of the current site, but this claim remains disputed by Södermanlands runinskrifter.
