Sinclairsholm Castle: A Castle Completed Before Its Owner's Death

Sinclairsholm Castle, situated in Hässleholm Municipality, Scania, Sweden, was constructed by the Danish Privy Counsellor Andrew Sinclair in the early 17th century. Despite Andrew Sinclair's death in 1625, the castle was completed during the management of his son, Kristian Sinclair. Today, Baron Johan Barnekow is the owner of the castle, which primarily features economy buildings dating from the 1860s. A notable visitor to the castle was Carl Linnaeus, who came between May 17-19 during his Scania trip in 1749. During Linnaeus' visit, the owner was Major Carl Henrik Skytte.
