Runestone Nf1956
Nf stands for "Nyfynd" and the number following it stands for the year they were found.
"Anund had this stone erected after himself while he was still alive."
The runestone was discovered during excavation work in the northern part of Stadsparken. The stone had served as a foundation stone in the north wall of Saint Lars. The name Anund is one of the most common male names from the Viking Age. It was not entirely uncommon for people like Anund to have stones erected after themselves. The chieftain Jarlabanke in Täby/Vallentuna had at least five runestones erected after himself.
