Castell de Rocabruna, within the village of Rocabruna and the municipality of Camprodon, is a notable relic of the 11th century. Its history, stretching back to 1070, chronicles a time of power and influence under the Llers and Desbac families. Today, it stands as a mere pile of stones, the haunting remnants of a once-mighty fortress. Situated on a hill surrounded by cliffs, the castle's altitude of 995 m offers stunning views of the Pyrenees and the High Garrotxa. Despite its inaccessible location - it is only possible to reach it through an overgrown path that winds through the surrounding forest - the castle's design and construction demonstrate meticulous craftsmanship.
