Once a pleasure residence for Mallorca’s monarchs, this medieval palace served time as a prison, then became a pearl factory. Today, only the Torre del Palau remains.

Built by Jaume II of Mallorca in 1311, the Palau real de Manacor was a leisure residence for the kingdom’s monarchs. In the 15th century, it was divided and sold to various individuals. By the 1950s, the building was destroyed to make way for a pearl factory, leaving only the Torre del Palau. The Torre del Palau, currently located in an internal courtyard of a residential building, is municipal property since 1991.
