Museo Convento de San Francisco

The Convent of San Francisco is a Catholic temple located in Medina de Rioseco, Valladolid, Spain. It was built during the times of Almirante de Castilla Fadrique II Enríquez, as the second monastery of the town of Medina de Rioseco, after the one in Valdescopezo. It was originally built as a burial place for the Enríquez family.

Today, it only retains the church from the original primitive convent. The church is dedicated to the Virgin of the Expectation. The church is supported on the remains of the medieval wall. Some lateral chapels of the cloister remain. The basement of the cloister remains too. The Sala Capitular remains. The Refectorio has been converted into a chapel for the residence of the old. Part of a second cloister remains. One wing of monk cells remains, which has a baroque staircase (hidden behind some services). Remains of sculptures in stone and wood, stained glass, and part of the old furniture remain.

Today the church and the remains of the monastery have been converted into the Museum of San Francisco.
