Masia de La Salle

The Masia de La Salle in Premià de Mar, Maresme, is a protected cultural asset of local interest. Although it has undergone renovations over time, it currently assumes the form of a villa with four wings enclosing a central block. A staircase with two flights rises from the back, leading to the upper floors, while another staircase from the inner courtyard spirals up to the rooftop.

But it is not the architecture that captures the eye on first glance. In fact, it takes a walk around the perimeter to notice. For the Masia de La Salle is not the usual village home, but a work of art. For decades, the artist, Enric Borràs, painted scenes from nature and village life onto the walls, and his hand became a signature feature of the place.

Although he is gone now, his work remains, a memory of Premià de Mar that cannot be forgotten.
