Just off the edge of Alantos seniunija's labyrinthine hills there lies a fort, a mystery steeped in age, dubbed Malkėsto's sunken hillfort. This fort is ringed by a 27x17 metre ditch, a Grand Canyon-like ditch, if you will, that seems to shout 'stay away' in flashing neon lights. And that's not all - a peculiar limestone slab rests nearby, carrying incomprehensible runes that look like they tumbled out of Edgar Allan Poe's darkest nightmares. No ordinary inscriptions grace its surface, only these runes serve as cryptic whispers of an untold story.
