Located on the north coast of Trotternish on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, Duntulm Castle is a scheduled monument. The castle dates to the 14th and 15th centuries, when the area was fraught with clan rivalries. The castle flourished in the 17th century, serving as the chief's residence until it was abandoned around 1732. Now, the castle's ruins are decaying, and no evidence of a prehistoric broch or dun has been found at the site. An ongoing restoration project includes 'repairs and replacement of most of the current fencing elements' (source #4), though specific restoration work at Duntulm Castle itself has yet to be mentioned.
