Dolmen de La Cabaña

The Dolmen de La Cabaña is a prehistoric megalith located in Sargentes de la Lora, Burgos, Spain. It is one of the best-preserved among more than 30 dolmens in the area. The dolmen, a sepulcher of corridor type, has a paracircular chamber with more than 3 meters in diameter, formed by seven large limestone slabs that exceed 2 meters in height. The chamber communicates with the outside through a 5-meter-long passage or corridor. Due to historical looting and damage, only a few human remains have survived. Although severely damaged since Roman times, diverse elements of the grave were found, such as microliths, a flint arrowhead, and a rasp. The dolmen can be dated to the second half of the 4th millennium BC. It was declared a cultural asset of interest with the category of archaeological zone on August 25, 1993.
