Situated just beyond Quintana de Valdivielso in Spain's Burgos province, a castle stands guard over a piece of history. Known as the Torre de Loja, it has a romantic air, with its towers, chapels, and domestic dependencies. Originally constructed in the 15th century, the castle underwent alterations in the 16th century and is now a recognized cultural asset. The castle complex includes a chapel of San Roque, potentially predated by the tower, a courtyard formed by domestics dependencies in an 'L' shape, and the remains of a surrounding wall. Various coats of arms decorate the facade of the tower, the entrance to the chapel, and the courtyard. The tower ends in charming gargoyles represented by wolves and deer.
