In the village of Soupir, France lies the Château de Soupir, a 16th-century manor rebuilt in the 19th century, though only the triumphal arch dating from 1908 remains today. The château met its end in November 1914 due to bombardments and was completely demolished in 1926. However, in 2007, the ruins of the castle were inscribed as a historic monument. Despite the castle's absence, the village remains, a poignant reminder of the events that unfolded during this period.
