The Castello Piccolomini in Capestrano, Italy, was built replacing a medieval fort. It was modified by the Piccolomini family and completed in 1485. The castle currently serves as a cultural center, hosting the Museo Archeologico del Fucino (Collezione Torlonia) and the Museo d'Arte Sacra della Marsica. On September 30, 2026, the castle will reopen its doors to the public after restoration. Apart from exhibiting the castle's history, art, and architecture, visitors can experience a perfume workshop showcasing the age-old bond between the body and fragrance. The restoration work was supported by the Ministero della Cultura, the Direzione Generale Spettacolo MiC, the Musei Archeologici Nazionali di Chieti – Direzione Regionale Musei Nazionali Abruzzo, and the Castello Piccolomini Celano – Collezione Torlonia e Museo d'Arte Sacra della Marsica di Celano with Director Daniele Giorgi.
