Berkswell Hall: A Manor with Changing Owners over the Centuries

Berkswell Hall is a 19th-century country house situated in Berkswell, initially falling under Warwickshire and later West Midlands, England. The building stands as a Grade II* listed building. The early modern ownership of the estate can be traced back to the Marrow family, who were granted the manor of Berkswell in 1557. The estate has transitioned through male descendants, including Sir Samuel Marrow, created a baronet in 1679, who passed away in 1679. The manor of Berkswell has undergone notable transformations throughout the years. The Wheatley family owned it extensively in the 20th century. Colonel Wheatley, who perished in 1943, was the last owner prior to the Hall being converted into residential apartments in 1984.
