The Emigrant Monument, or Utvandrarmonumentet, is a bronze monument located in Hamnparken, Karlshamn, Sweden. Inaugurated in 1959, it was commissioned by the Karlshamn Cultural Preservation Committee and created by artist Axel Olsson. The monument depicts a man and a woman, looking forward and back respectively, symbolizing the emotions of approximately tens of thousands of Swedes who emigrated in the 19th century. The statue's unveiling was attended by Vilhelm Moberg, upon whose emigration series Olsson drew inspiration.
