Capraia Island, shrouded in mystery, lies in the Tyrrhenian Sea as part of the Tuscan Archipelago. Spanning an area of 19.33 square kilometers, the island's highest point ascends to 466 meters. The island, governed by Italy, belongs to the regional hierarchy of Tuscany and Capraia Isola. As of December 2018, the island's population stands at 407. Amidst four coastal fortifications, Zenobito Tower stands out. In the Early Middle Ages, the tower was named not for a monastery but for a neighboring one.
Two paths lead to the tower: the Zenobito Path, a winding coastal route embraced by lush greenery, or the internal path, passing through the Monte Arpagna Semaphore, offering a more rugged and immersive journey. The unrestored tower bears a striking resemblance to its twin, the Porto Tower, granting an unobstructed view of Forte San Giorgio and the towers on Corsica.
