The Torre del Porto is the best-preserved coastal tower on Capraia Isola, part of the Tuscan archipelago. Built by Genovese in 1516, it originally served as a lookout for pirate attacks. The tower has a circular base, taking the shape of a truncated cone, and is topped by a wide circular balcony with crenellation. Today, it serves as the seat of the Communal Library of Capraia Isola. On an elevation to the east of the harbor, it was the only tower on the island that has been restored.
