Torre de la Guàrdia (Subirats)

Torre de la Guardia, also known as 'Torre Verda', is a circular medieval tower in Subirats, Subirats (Spain), located atop the Tower of the Guardia (385 meters high) near the nucleus of Sant Pau d'Ordal in the municipality of Subirats, Alt Penedès. The exact origins of the tower are unknown, but it is believed to be medieval and part of the system of coastal watchtowers, alongside the tower of Can Llopart that warned Subirats castle. The tower coincides with a geodetic vertex. The tower's unusual green exterior is due to heather covering part of its walls, giving it an interesting and unique appearance.
