A towering homage: Karlstad's monument to Archbishop Gustaf Fröding's literary

In Karlstad, Sweden, a towering monument stands as a testament to the life and work of Archbishop Gustaf Fröding, a celebrated Swedish writer. Unveiled on August 22, 1996, the statue was the result of the efforts of the Gustaf Fröding Endowment, established in 1993 by Sven-Åke Markusson, Per-Jan Wållgren, and Landshövding Ingemar Eliasson. Artist Herman Reijers created the statue, which now graces the intersection of Västra Torggatan and Tingvallagatan.
