Nils Ferlin's Unconventional Dance: Tap-Dancing on a Table in Karlstad's Square

Ferlin's Tap-dancing is a unique sculpture in Karlstad, Sweden. Created by Thomas Qvarsebo in 2002 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nils Ferlin's birth in Karlstad, local authorities chose his proposal from four artists. Originally, he intended for Ferlin to step in front of an open book, but he adapted the finished sculpture to have Ferlin step on a table instead. The statue was unveiled on June 13, 2002. An inscription is included on the table.
