The Western Cube and the Eastern Construction: Renaissance Palacio de los

In the heart of Espinosa de los Monteros, Spain, stands the Palacio de los Fernández-Villa, a grand edifice that combines the grandeur of the Renaissance with the traditional charm of a Spanish manor. The western cube, an addition to the Gothic construction, is the most striking feature. It boasts an arched door, flanked by striped columns, all supported by an elevated podium and crowned with a capital, sustaining the entablament. Above, raised brackets, shaped like molded sandals, support the dintel, in the center of which is the family coat of arms. The eastern construction, next to the western cube, was inscribed as a cultural asset of interest to the Spanish Ministry of Culture in 2000.
