The Shark Tank in Durban

Home to the Sharks rugby union team, Hollywoodbets Kings Park has hosted major international tournaments since it opened in 1958.

Located on Jacko Jackson Dr in the Kings Park Sporting Precinct of Durban, Hollywoodbets Kings Park is colloquially known as the Shark Tank. It serves as the home ground of the Sharks rugby union team and is also used for large football finals and by Durban-based Premier Soccer League football clubs.

The stadium opened in 1958 with an initial capacity of 12,000. It underwent extensive renovations in the 1980s and again in time for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Following these updates, the capacity was reduced from 54,000 to its current capacity of 46,000.
