The House of Nicolas Flamel

House of Nicolas Flamel, at 51 rue de Montmorency in Paris, completed in 1407. A wealthy member of the Parisian bourgeoisie, Nicolas Flamel commissioned the house after the death of his wife Pernelle in 1397. However, the house is not known to have been his residence. The house, which is probably the oldest in Paris, is a testament to his wealth and obsession with the unknown. The house's facade, a monument historique since 1911, features four storeys, three front doors, and a Middle French inscription. Today, the house is neither a home nor a shop, but a restaurant, the Auberge Nicolas Flamel.
