Beneath the Spanish church, a millennia-old secret

The Dolmen de Santa Cruz lies in Vega de Contranquil, where the rivers Güeña and Sella meet in Cangas de Onís, Spain. Beneath the church of Santa Cruz, this ancient tomb is over three thousand years old. The chamber containing the dolmen is over three meters high and is constructed with sand and stones from nearby rivers, adorned with etchings and drawings. Inside, there are five large stones, the largest of which is rectangular and engraved. The church and the dolmen were declared a historical-artistic monument of Spain in 1931.
