Located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Casa Anchieta is a historic building that served as the childhood home of José de Anchieta. Born in the city in 1534, José resided in the building for the first 14 years of his life before moving to Brazil. The site was initially used as an elementary school at the start of the 16th century before being turned into a single family home, originally owned by Nuño Pérez.
