Long, long ago, Tiddis was to the Roman empire like a dream to the awakening world. At first, a humble village, it flourished upon a verdant plateau, nurtured by the hands of the colonists. As the years passed, it embraced the majesty of the Roman ways, its main path as graceful as a river, leading from a monumental portal, weaving between quiet homes, towards a bustling forum, a tranquil square, and a wise council. The Mithras Sanctuary, an artifact of the 4th century BC, still holds its mystery within its stone walls. A Christian chapel, an anomaly in this Roman realm, stands as a testament to a future yet to unfold. The Lollii, one of the ancient families of Tiddis, have left an indelible mark in the form of a breathtaking, circular mausoleum, a captivating landmark that still enchants, just a stone's throw to the north.
