The Claustro de los Reyes, within the Royal Monastery of St. Thomas, is a testament to the grandeur and importance of this spiritual site. Founded in 1482 by the Catholic Monarchs of Spain to honor Saint Thomas Aquinas, the monastery was adorned with pomegranates and symbols of the King and the Dominicans. The tomb of John, Prince of Asturias is located in the Claustro de los Reyes, but it is not visible in the marble monument below the main altar. The Oriental Art Museum is housed in the Claustro de los Reyes.
