14th-century Gothic Ruins: San Juan church in Miranda de Ebro

San Juan church, a 14th-century historical relic, is located in Miranda de Ebro, Burgos, within the autonomous community of Castilla y León, Spain. The current church primarily dates back to the end of the 14th century, with the choir being a notable feature. During the Spanish War of Independence, French troops used the church as a barracks and looted its treasures. The church tower fell in 1874, and the windows remain closed today. In 1982, San Juan church was designated a national historical-artistic monument, despite its deteriorated state preventing it from welcoming visitors.
