The Opposite Sphere, commonly known as Rostbollen, is a towering metal sculpture located at Notviksrondellen where Riksväg 97 intersects Luleå. The work of Dan Lestander, Ricky Sandberg, Jan-Erik Falk, and Eva Gun Jensen, Rostbollen is made up of 200 steel plates, skilfully welded, cut and assembled in Luleå. The current version, which stands tall at 8 meters in diameter, measures double the height of its initial version which won gold at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville and stood at 4 meters in diameter.
