The Runsa ship burial setting

The Runsa ship burial setting is a 56 metre long and 16 metre wide stone ship setting situated in Eds socken, Upplands Väsby commune. It forms part of a grave field that also encompasses 33 round stone settings, all dated to the 400 - 500-tal. The stone ships are a significant aspect of ancient relics in Sweden, with one of them being one of the largest stone ships in the country. The grave field is close to the Runsa fornborg, a theory proposed that those who lived in Runsa fornborg utilised the area as a burial ground.
