Runestone in Kvibille Church, Denmark and Halland

Runinskrift DR 354 is a medieval gravestone in Kvibille Church in Kvibille parish, Halland, Denmark and Denmark. Originally placed over a dead person, it is made of granite and resembles a typical runestone with a runic band following the stone’s edge. The text of Runinskrift DR 354 in Runic Swedish translated to Modern Swedish is: 'Elfi and Thorgautr, they erected the stone over Thorlaker. May God help his soul.' The inscription on Runinskrift DR 354 is inscribed with the following Runic script: 'Efi ok Þorgotr þeR lagþu stin ifi- Þorlak. Guþ hialpi sol hans.' Halland, where Runinskrift DR 354 is located, was part of Denmark during the from early Medieval period (1050-1150). It was later incorporated into the south wall of Kvibille Church.
