Orzales is a locality in Campoo de Yuso, Cantabria, Spain, known for its bread, which is beloved throughout the comarca. In 2012, Orzales had a population of 95 people (INE), and it is 848 meters above sea level. Orzales is 5 kilometers from La Costana, the capital of Campoo de Yuso. Orzales boasts an interesting history: an aerodrome was built near the village during the Spanish Civil War and was in use until 1939. Today, a monument with a helicopter blade outside the village commemorates this historical location, and a forest of robe trees surrounds the airfield, creating an ideal spot for birdwatching.
