The Ruines romaines de Thénac are remnants of Roman Antiquity erected in Thénac (Charente-Maritime), France. Listed as a Monument Historique by decree on May 2, 1912, the ruins, columns, baths, and fallen stones are classified. The Roman theatre, with a diameter of 90m, is also classified. The theatre is located along the Roman road that led to Burdigala. Archaeological excavations from 1999 revealed a Roman theatre of medium size. The theatre has a cavea and vomitoria, and an earlier proto-historic ensemble was also found. This earlier ensemble included a temple and funeral ditches indicating an incineration ritual.
