I have planted various trees in the park

I have planted various trees in the park for variety's sake. I like trees - as the tree patron I have them to thank for so much! The trees to the left, with their grey and smooth trunks, are not very common in this area. They don't grow any further north than Småland, if they get to choose for themselves. Books are what they are called and you can make waterwheels from them. Now they are mostly used for furniture and I have heard that glass pins are made from them. Before that, paper was good to write on was a book tree suitable for carving messages into, and that's actually where the word 'book' comes from!
